July 4th used to be my favorite holiday. But as I got older, I thought more about the concept of freedom and my relationship to freedom as an African American man in the United States.
We have a ways to go if we want to be the country we can and should be. Remember that not everyone in this country of freedom is free. Just take a moment to reflect on that this weekend, and maybe share this message with others.
